Highland Park Village became famous in the early 1980′s when the popular show Dallas used the location to shoot on location. Park Cities Trivia
University Park is home to Southern Methodist University. Like its neighbor, Highland Park, is partially surrounded by the municipality of Dallas. University Park grew to a population of over 20,000 residents by 1945 and had become one of the most prestigious locations in the area. University Park began as a cluster of homes surrounding Southern Methodist University. The city’s unique character, high property values, and low tax rate have been maintained. In fact, the community’s attractiveness and tax value had risen to such an extent that the city of Dallas wanted to annex University Park into its boundaries. In terms of formal education, University Park is one of Texas’ best educated cities.

Together, Highland Park and University Park form the Park Cities. THE ENCLAVE OF DALLAS!
